The 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden made an insipid comment a few weeks back during an interview with radio host Charlamagne Tha God saying that, “You’re not black, if you don’t vote for me.”

What kind of education do you think gave Biden the inkling to think that he could make such a statement like that?  How does he know what constitutes for who a black person is or isn’t?

How does Biden know when some black people don’t even know?

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Themes discussed:

  • Racialized Social Constraint
  • Civil Rights Act of 1866
  • The Fourteenth Amendment
  • The Fifteenth Amendment
